BA TIPS navigating through COVID-19

To our LVT team -

We know how challenging these past few months have been and we hope you all have been safe and healthy, along with your loved ones. Until things become "normal" again, we wanted to send you some BA industry updates, some things to make you smile, and inspiration to make you look forward to. We're all in this together, xoxox.

Love, LVT

Here are answers to the most frequent questions we've been asked during this time:

What is the difference between UI and PUA?

UI - Unemployment Insurance; Unemployment benefits for W2 employees

PUA - Pandemic Unemployment Assistance; Unemployment benefits for 1099 contractors/self-employed

You will be eligible for UI or PUA. You will not be eligible for both UI and PUA.

What is Pandemic Unemployment Compensation (PUC)?

"Under the Federal Pandemic Unemployment Compensation (FPUC) program, eligible individuals who are collecting certain UI benefits, including regular unemployment compensation, will receive an additional $600 in federal benefits per week for weeks of unemployment ending on or before July 31, 2020. Additionally, the Pandemic Emergency Unemployment Compensation (PEUC) program allows those who have exhausted benefits under regular unemployment compensation or other programs to receive up to 13 weeks of additional benefits."

When will LVT events start back up?

We are monitoring the evolving COVID-19 situation and following all guidance from our clients and the CDC and local & federal government agencies. There are currently no scheduled events with any of our clients, but we're preparing for when it's safe to do so.

TAX REMINDER! Please remember that the new federal deadline for tax filing and the first quarterly payment of the year is now July 15th!
